The Chesterfield has become an unavoidable piece of furniture that has been furnishing interiors around the world since its creation in England in the 18th century. This one gets its name from the county in which it originated and was created at the request of Lord Philipp Stanhope, who wanted a comfortable, refined, low-seated chair that would not cause clothes to fold, and therefore wrinkle.
It was exported throughout the British Empire thanks to naval officers and thus took its place in the interiors of diplomats, businessmen, and gentlemen's clubs.
Structure in pine(FSC certified), wenge stained legs, velvet upholstery, polyurethane foam padding, seat suspension by elastic straps, brass coloured castors.
